We went to Lucy's school's ice cream social the other night. Lucy was so excited about it since it also involved an "Art Auction" that she and her classmates had been preparing for for more than a week. They had all the kids' art hung on the walls, mounted on black artboard and Lucy loved it looking so official. She had also made an invitation for us that she insisted we take with us as "our ticket into the art auction".
We ate ice cream, Lucy got tattooed and face painted and we bought a fabulous piece of art by noneother than our hostess. It is a ver colorful butterfly made out of pieces of watercolored coffee filter that have been pressed and mounted.
To keep with her love of outer space, she chose to have her face painted with the moon and stars. The ice cream social, I guess Lucy would say it was out of this world.
