Shooey, Shooey!

Lucy was in a super-silly mood tonight. It started at dinner when she told me that she had a secret to tell me. Then, with her hand cupped over her ear for some reason, she whispered, "I'm sending you a brown banana." Then she cackled and laughed for a long-time before repeating the same phrase over and over again for about 15 minutes. Then she started telling us all kinds of "secrets" like "brown wall" or "blue bug". We weren't sure what she was talking about but we all got a hardy laugh out of it since she was laughing so hard she could hardly catch her breath.

Another note, Lucy spent nearly half of her waking hours today in just underwear and pink crocs. It all started when I began cleaning out her closet and drawers and needed her to try on clothes and then found a pair of crocs somebody handed down to us. She thinks the shoes are flip flops like mine so she was obsessed with them all day. She would just walk around in her yellow Curious George underwear and her hot pink crocs thinking it was all pretty special. I have pictures, just not added yet, but don't worry, they are on their way!

Finally, Ian was grinding up coffee beans and Lucy wanted to smell one. He gave her one and it instantly became some sort of pet. It played with her, she sang it to sleep and read books to it. Then she was going to sing songs to the coffee bean and to her turtle ball and said that she was going to sing "Shooey, Shooey". She would start singing those words to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and then stop, tap the side of her head and say, "I forgot the words, I need to remember them and write them down." This is a new trait of hers, tapping the side of her head to indicate she is "thinking" or remembering. Goofball.
