Ian and I are happy to report that our stint with Lucy's evil twin seems to have diminished a bit. She has definitely improved in mood and attitude. Don't get me wrong, there are still tantrums and moments of utter bewilderment on our part, but things are much improved. Potty training also seems to be back on track for the most part. She hasn't had an accident in days and has filled her second sticker chart for a reward for doing such a great job. She is also talking again about being a big sister, so maybe the relapse was just a way of letting us know that she is still little and needing some attention, whether there is a baby on the way or not.
As for the baby... On Saturday I actually had some really strong contractions and thought we might be making a trip to the hospital, but with a little rest and a whole lot of water, they subsided. The doctor checked things out today and she is doing great, strong heart, strong kicks, and getting bigger all the time (the baby, not the doctor, although I'm sure she has a mean kick as well!). I go back to the doctor the day after we return from KY and will be going a lot more frequently from then on. We are in the homestretch, folks! Now all we need is a name, a happy Lucy and some rest!
