Little Picaso

Harper did her first real painting the other day. She painted a paper plate orange and then we added a face to it to make a pumpkin. As you can see from the video, it was long overdue and therefore very easy for her to manage. She did a great job handling the paintbrush and even managed to keep from spilling the orange paint all over the floor or herself- a real feat when you are Harper.

In other Harper news, she absolutely loves Halloween and all that that implies. She loves pumpkins, witches, bats, ghosts, skeletons and black cats. She has mastered all the sounds these spooky things make and loves walking around the block and seeing the neighbors Halloween decorations. She also makes us read Halloween books over and over again. Just wait until our little junk food queen realizes that there is a night dedicated to kids knocking on doors and holding out bags while grown-ups fill it with tons of things they don't usually let you eat. She is going to go bonkers! What may be more monstrous than the Halloween decorations will be trying to keep Harper from turning into a sugar-crazed goon on Halloween night.
