Eating baby Jesus

Gramzie and Pop Pop sent Lucy and Harper a toy Nativity set. It is the first toy with which they both can sit and play together. Here's how it goes:

• Lucy sets up the scene, all players in the "correct" places
• Harper grabs the angel on top of the stable, Lucy screams and takes it out of her hand, handing her a sheep
• Harper chews the sheep for a moment and then grabs the donkey and cart. Lucy screams and takes it out of her hand, handing her a sheep
• Harper chews on the sheep for less than a second and then goes for the gold- baby Jesus. She doesn't hesitate. She puts him right into her mouth and gnaws on his head until Lucy discovers that the infant king is missing. She screams and takes baby Jesus out of Harper's hand, handing her a sheep.

Harper plays with the sheep. She has gotten what she wanted most of all, playtime with Lucy. There is always Tuesday morning when she will get the Nativity set all to herself while Lucy is at school and the Messiah will once again be her snack.
