Harper is a nutty little baby. At almost 7 months she is the happiest little thing around. She plays happily by herself, she laughs and giggles at everything, she loves to eat, she loves to have the camera turned on her, she loves to watch Lucy and Reggie. Harper is a game playing machine, even if nobody else is playing. Her favorites are peek-a-boo and "attack of the kisses". In attack of the kisses she will grab my ear with one hand, my hair with the other and then go to work kissing my face. It leaves me sopping wet and her smiling from ear to ear. There is no escaping, but I'm not sure I would if I could.
She is eating whatever we let her. You really can't feed her fast enough and she has discovered that she absolutely loves yogurt. Peaches are another new favorite. Anything is good although not everything agrees with her belly and we have therefore had a month of waking in the middle of the night with belly pains. We are still trying to figure out exactly what agrees with her belly, even though we know everything agrees with her mouth. She tried a bagel today, loved that as well. Our skinny little Harper may still remain thin throughout, but her cheeks seem to be taking on any extra weight.
We had Quinn, my friend Kimberly's daughter, over for a playdate last week. The girls took turns hitting each other upside the head with toys and pulling hair. Harper thought Quinn's hair was very attractive and tried to keep some for herself. Quinn did not approve.
We are still working on crawling. Harper has learned that sitting up is a great thing and just gets mad now if she is on her back or belly so we are back to forcing her to have tummy time everyday. Once there she pivots around to see whatever she wants to see or to grab toys out of her reach.
Happy Harper. That sums it up at 7 months!
