Lucy graduated from preschool last month. She is so excited about moving onto kindergarten and seems to have begun getting over her fear of not seein gher normal teachers and friends from preschool. She is taking the preparation very seriously and wants to work on writing, reading, tying her shoes and making her bed ( I threw the last one in for good measure!)
To end the school year, her school put on a gospel-inspired performance (because nothing screams "gospel" like a group of 100 white prescoolers from priveledged families). To hear Lucy sing "Wade in the Water" was priceless.
She will miss her friends but is truly excited about starting school in the fall, getting to walk to school, going 5 days a week and turning 5.
