Harper is a very funny little girl these days. She is super giggly, super sweet and can get bashful at the drop of a hat. She also loves to dance and put on shows, make up games for everyone to play or make up stories that she is "reading".
She is also boy crazy and a little boy, Brett at school is feeding into this. Every morning when he gets off the bus, he sweeps over to Harper, grabs her hand and says, "Come on pretty lady!" at which she becomes completely coy and bashful and giggles at his flirting. They then play tug-o-war holding hands all the way down the hall. She says that he must love her, but then she gives pause to ask if that means she has to marry him. She is always relieved when we tell her no.
Lately Harper has been playing babies a whole lot. She is always rocking them, putting them to bed or feeding them. She tells me that this is exactly how she wants it when she is older and a mom. She wants to have her babies in her room, in my house. We'll see....
Finally, Harper loves to be pretty. She loves skirts, colorful patterns, jewelry, hair bows and ribbons, etc. Every morning after she is dressed and her hair is fixed, she goes out to our full length mirror in the living room, hugs herself and says, "I LOVE myself!" She then twirls and skips away.
